Women's Way Celebration June 30 - July 1 With Quero Apache Ceremonialist Maria Yraceburu & Gypsy Healer Lynda Yraceburu
Schedule of Events Saturday, June 30: 10 am - 10 pm 10am - 6pm Stalking Power Day/Medicine Walk in the Coastal Forest 1. We will have an introductory Talking Circle to get to know one another and why each of the women chose to come. Maria and Lynda find this invaluable for letting them know what the energies of the day will be like and how to structure ritual. They have a basic outline for posting purposes and logistics, but often throw in extra depending on the energies that actually attend. 2. We will set intent with an offering and prayer. Natoh, the holy smoke, will be offered, in the old style apache way...rolled. It is primarily an herb mixture, with an untreated tobacco base grown in the old way by Maria's family. 3. We will begin our hike. Along the way Maria will point out things she knows. She will teach interpretive tracking, stone lore, animal meanings, and will tell stories she knows from her tradition and from our area. 4. We'll have a break for lunch (or if Talking Circle goes long, we'll have lunch before setting intent with an offering and prayer, then start the hike - Maria stays flexible with this.) 5. We will build an altar from natural materials, and a medicine wheel. 6. The women will sit in quadrants of the wheel facing out and spend the afternoon in quiet contemplation (a mini day quest). When we are done we will again have a Talking Circle. 7. Then we will walk back in free discussion mode. Whatever comes up can be talked about. 8. Dinner break and a little time to ourselves in time allows.
7:30 - 10 pm Sacred Fire and Eagle-Dragon Rituals Attendees will use their drums and rattles for these rituals.
Sunday, July 1: 10 am - 5pm Balancing
1. Lynda is going to teach in introduction to HandWalking class. This is an ancient gypsy self-healing technique that predates Buddha. It has successfully been used with general stress and muscle tension, ADHD, depression, heart conditions, spinal pinching, all dysfunctional organ processes, and much more. 2. Lunch break. 3. Deishehi Rituals- birthing a new self. We should be done by 5 pm.
WHAT TO BRING: You should plan to bring bag lunches for yourself for both days. You should also bring a drum if you have one, and a rattle. Please bring rain gear, sturdy shoes, warm sweater or jacket and extra socks, bug spray, and extra clothing. If you have a camp chair or cushion you need to sit on either outside or inside, please bring them.
